Holmfirth made history in June 2020 by setting up its first ever women’s/girls cricket team.

Amanda Garrard a very successful level 2 ECB coach wanted to pave the way for starting this project at the club.

Amanda was responsible for helping to set up the Junior format at the club 20 years ago when both her boys were young, the juniors have gone from strength to strength since then and are thriving now.
Amanda stated “ with the women’s game growing in success I took the opportunity to set up our own ladies/girls team here at Holmfirth. We welcome all ages and abilities and encourage any one to come along and give it a go”.

The Hurricanes start winter nets in February before moving outside in April.

We will be joining a softball and hardball league in the summer of 2023.

We train in the summer on a Thursday evening

Younger girls school Yr 1-7 5-6pm

School yr 8-ladies 6-7.30
