U11s are in the Cup Final

We are in the Final!!! After a tense and nervous night at the U11s semi final the boys did HCC proud. Some great catches, run outs and batting ensured that we beat a very good Denby Dale side.

All credit to a Denby Dale for ensuring the game was played in the spirit it deserved despite the obvious pressure both teams were feeling.

We mixed the pairings this week and although generally it worked OK remember to be brave with your singles and call the runs still, no silly dashes but sensible calls. Again some great 4s and 6s and some good boundary shots that fell slightly short and were well fielded.

In the field and with the ball, we maintained a steady string of wickets and kept the bowling tight, well done. Teams will always hit 4s and there will always be the misfield but don't let it worry you, get back up and make sure you stop the next one. Or even better catch one out!

Keep an eye on the game, walk in with the bowler and stay alert.

Overall it was another great team performance with everyone contributing to the win. Ensuring parents heart rates could return to normal and the bar sold a few more pints.
