I hope you are keeping well in this very strange world we are currently living in. A summer without cricket until at least July 1st is something that does not rest easy in the Ridler household but that is how it is at the moment, fingers crossed some cricket is played soon after then.

I am writing today as Holmfirth CC currently has no income, we have no bar takings, no subs all fund raisers are cancelled and the big events like the Tavern Tournament are currently not planned. However we still have utility bills, ground upkeep and insurances to pay out etc etc that run into the hundreds each month. We have been successful in a small grant from Sport England and we have managed to raise some funds form the board sponsors up around the ground, including a new 5 year one on the scoreboard. We have cancelled all unnecessary bills and the overseas player will not be joining us this season.

Given all this we are still seeing the bank balance dwindle and hence have set up a crowdfunding page https://www.spacehive.com/holmfirthcc#/ to keep us a float.

If you could pledge we would be incredibly grateful. If you could share this link amongst friends and family we would really appreciate it, every penny after the Spacehive costs will go into running the club, the ECB will donate £100.

I hope to see you sometime this season, no dates are set at all for recommencement but as soon as we know we will email out.
